I'll try that. I do use about half the laundry detergent called for, and use cold water except for very dirty clothes. I do my wash once a week - Monday is wash day at our house. I bought an energy efficient washing machine, and received a $50.00 rebate from our utility company. I haven't made my own laundry detergent, but I have considered it.
