All this for 41 cents!! And then I said "No More for Today, Please!"
I got all this today for only 41 cents!! Actually, I got more than this, but a few of the items I want to use as gifts, so they are not included in this photo. So, how did I get all this for .41?
First off, I got a $10.00 off for Kohl's in the mail. I get one a couple times a year. I also get them from JC Penney too but don't get there as often as it is further to drive to get to a JC Penney store. This $10.00 off was for anything at Kohl's so, I did as I always do and look only at clearance items. I found this pair of boots that were originally $79.99 and this pair of earmuffs that were originally $24.00. These items were both 90% off!! Then, when I applied the Kohl's coupon, the total came to .39 plus tax!
Secondly, I do something that I often do and go to Menards. Menards has great deals on many things and they have many items for free with rebate. The crackers you see are NON-GMO, no trans fats etc and have broccoli mixed in and on top of that, they taste good! These were free with rebate and no limit on how many you could buy. Then, I got 2 sets of pruning shears, some car wash, some lint rollers and some mystery items for gifts. They had more stuff for free as well, but I wasn't interested in those items even for free, because they take up space. Sometimes I buy those items just to give to charity.
I did buy a few other items at Menards but the items you see in the photo were totally free!!
It feels great to not only get needed and useful items but practically get paid to take them out of the store! Every area in the US has deals like this if a person hunts and looks and takes advantage of them. The trick is to figure out what the deals are in your area and take advantage of them.

I Got Paid .36 to Take These Items Out of Walgreens Today
Well, this is pretty much like getting paid to shop! I used two coupons on this deal plus some rewards I had on my rewards card. I had a store coupon for the paper plates and they were .99 each. I had a store coupon for the soup and they were .89 each. I found the Dove chocolates ($2.00) and the Lindt bar ($1.49) on clearance and the Snickers were $3.00.
If you have a rewards card and use it at Walgreens, you rack up points. I had 10,000 points and that was worth $10.00. So, after everything was added up, taxes were added and the $10.00 in rewards was taken off, everything in this photo cost me a total of $2.64. And then I have this $3.00 off coupon for next time I am in the store (must be used within two weeks). So, I was ultimately paid .36 to take this out of the store! That's the way I like it!

Save up to $20.00 with Walgreens Jingle Cash!
Every year around Christmas, Walgreens has Jingle Cash. You can save up to $20.00 with Jingle Cash. See the below chart:
I bought $50.00 worth of merchandise last week and I will use this $10.00 off coupon this week. I also purchased an item that will be free to me after using this $2.00 rewards coupon.
To make the maximum savings, I browse the Walgreens flyer and find items that I need and am getting low on. This way, I make sure the items I get are on sale in the first place. I find if you do not do this, you may be going through extra work and not really saving anything.
So, step 1: Browse Walgreens flyer and make a list.
If you do not have a Walgreens Rewards card, you will need to sign up for one. I have mixed feelings about rewards cards but I do have one for Walgreens.
Walgreens has losts of rules for using the rewards cards. One big thing to remember is you can't use any rewards and gain rewards on the same transaction. For example, if the flyer says you can gain 2000 rewards points on a purchased item, you won't gain those points if you are using jingle cash or spending any rewards at the same time.
Step 2: Get a rewards card and remember you cannot GAIN and SPEND rewards on the same transaction. Your Walgreens may also have other rules so check with your store for all terms and conditions.
I find that regardless of terms this still can be a great deal.
Step 3: Buy your items.
Step 4: Get your Jingle Cash and NOTE THE EXPIRATION DATES. These will not be honored after they expire.
Step 5: Get the new flyer the next week and buy sale items with your Jingle Cash on the correct dates.
You should also note that Walgreens has coupons on their website that you can clip right to your Walgreens card. Just remember the rewards rules. You can do this system all year long with Walgreens minus the Jingle Cash.

Freebies in the Mail
You can get freebies in the mail, just for signing up! Here are a couple of freebie sites I have used and have had no problems. You have to be careful with some sites. I made an email account for these sites as they tend to sent out a lot of spam.

The Fantastical Freebie Day
Boy did I have fun today! I decided, since I was going to Eau Claire today anyway, to do it up good for my blog, do some cashing in and total blowing of my diet!
Every year or so, kids or churches or whatnot, offer coupon booklets for sale. These are usually very good deals and they help the kids out too. I bought this one early this year:
I have used this coupon book all year long for more local deals. But today, I was going to Eau Claire and I only go there a few times a year. These coupons expire at the end of December, so it was time to use them up! I went through the booklet yesterday. Today, I first got a free frozen yogurt at Frogiyo.
This was a really good frozen yogurt and I enjoyed it thoroughly! I decided since I was going around getting free stuff, it might be nice to put in a link to the businesses who were so good to me. ;) https://www.facebook.com/frogiyo
Then, I drove to get a free 30 minute massage! Yes! Free!
I was able to book online and got a massage from Cassie. http://www.bodyfocusonline.com/ They have very nice rooms that have a private bathroom attached!
Then, I drove to Mega Foods and got some free lunch meat and bread. I also got some ripe bananas for smoothies for .39 a lb and 1/2 gallon of chocolate milk on sale for .99. http://megafoods.com/
Then, I went to Milwaukee Burger Company and got the best cheesecurds EVER! Free!!
I ate three of these and then got a box because these were HUGE! There were two left each for my family. I refried these when I got home and they weren't quite as good as fresh but still very tasty.
http://milwaukeeburgercompany.com/ This is more of a sports bar and restaurant. They also sometimes offer 1/2 off deals from the radio station but those go very fast. We have eaten here before and all the food is good.
I swung by K Mart and picked up some things and they had a clearance sale on Fla-vor-ice for $1.49 with a $2.00 rebate. So, I may get paid to get those! www.kmart.com I often get some really great deals at K Mart, so I was really sad to see our local one shut down.
It was about time to go home and so I swung by Grizzly's and got a free chicken appetizer to go to take to the Fam. Here is their entryway, it looks really nice. The appetizer was a chicken breast with the wing attached. http://grizzlysgrill.com/eau-claire-wi/
These were especially nice when I got home since my son was supposed to cook but had to leave to go rent out a storage unit. So, I heated up the chicken and HUGE cheese curds, added some grapes and leftover mashed potatoes and we had a MEAL!
Tomorrow, I will take the bones from the chicken (that has a scant amount of meat) and make a one cup private soup for myself.
I did have some more free coupons, but I was tired and called it a day. ;) So, aside from some tips for the masseuse and servers, this was a fantastical freebie day.
So, when the kids come with that coupon book , make sure you buy one. ;)

Walgreens Freebies
Walgreens has freebies on a pretty regular basis. I got these epsom salts for free this week. Here is how: They have a rewards program called Balance Rewards. You can sign up here:
https://www.walgreens.com/balancerewards/balance-rewards.jsp
Once you sign up, you are able to get offers in the store, including freebies, coupons, and points you can use for money off purchases later. When you get a freebie, like the Morton Epsom Salts above, you have to pay for the item that day, then you get a coupon for the full purchase price to be used at your next visit. This must be used within two weeks or you forfeit the money.
Usually, as I am preparing my ad-match for Wal-Mart, I also go out to www.walgreens.com and look at the weekly flyer for Walgreens. (They just built a CVS in my area too, so I will also check them out soon.) I look for deals in the flyer that I am interested in to use the freebie coupon on. This way, I get freebies and also sale items. Also, I look for the next set of freebies and you can use the coupon for those as well. (I rarely pay full price anywhere for any item, but once in a great while, it does happen!) I also look for in-store deals when I am there such as clearance items.
I don't go to Walgreens every week, but I go there fairly often as it is worth the time to make the special trip. Happy shopping!
